What we do at Ihana Herbal Remedies
We make natural self-care products by hand, in small batches, in Central Portugal. Juli (founder of Ihana Herbal Remedies) formulates every body care product herself.
Nothing leaves the workbench until it is tested by our own noses, and on our own skin first.
Juli also runs in-person workshops where you can learn to make your own body care from scratch — what goes into a deodorant that actually works, how to create a face lotion properly, why most “natural” labels on shop shelves don’t mean much. Plants have been doing this work for thousands of years. We rediscover how to use them.
Where it started
Back in 2019, Juli started Ihana out of passion for natural self-care, heavenly fragrances, and for her festival tribe to care for during that intense week on the dancefloor. She wanted something different: products that are genuinely effective, smell incredible, and don’t make you choose between “natural” and “actually does the job.”
Seven years on, she is still the one formulating every batch.
Why “Ihana”
It’s a Finnish word, it means lovely, wonderful.
That’s what we want this project to be like: where love meets nature.
Plants are our guides here, not just ingredients.
