Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor):
The name comes from the resemblance of the fruiting body to a wild Turkey’s Tail, with zones of varying colors – typically red, brown and blue/green.
Since they grow in such abundance in the wild, Turkey Tail is often harvested directly from the forest.
More than any other mushroom, Turkey Tail is packed full of immune-supporting beta-glucans. These are water-soluble compounds that instead of fighting disease interact with and modulate our immune system, stimulating and activating our cells responsible for immunity.
